Nichol Walters

Yoga Teacher

I began practicing yoga in 2014 as an adjunct to my life in long term recovery. I received my 200hr yoga teacher training through Yoga Mindset School of Yoga and Wellness in High Point, NC. Following my 200hr program, I trained and received a certification for Yoga in Recovery leadership through Y12SR.
Combining what I have learned in both recovery and yoga, I believe that by focusing on the breath and surrendering, a new life can truly begin. Incredible transformations can take place spiritually, mentally and physically. I strive to create a safe and compassionate space for my community, and encourage my students to search for and ignite the power within themselves, and take that power back out into the world. I believe recovery and yoga should be accessible and affordable to ALL people, and although a lot of the work we do must come from within, having the support of a loving and compassionate community around me while doing this work has been indispensable in my own personal life of recovery.
